Naam Hai Boss (English: Name Is Boss) is an upcoming Bollywood action film starring Akshay Kumar in the title role. It also features Mithun Chakraborty, Aditi Rao Hydari, Shiv Pandit, Ronit Roy, Johnny Lever and Parikshit Sahni in important roles. It is being directed by Anthony D'Souza who had debuted with Blue (2009 film)). The film is jointly produced by Cape Of Good Films and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The film marks the second collaboration of Anthony D'Souza with Akshay Kumar after Blue. The movie is an official remake of a Malayalam film Pokkiri Raja. The shooting of the film begins on 20th October in Delhi and will be release in mid 2013.
Akshay Kumar plays a kind hearted gangster. It additionally features Aditi Rao Hydari and Shiv Pandit. Akshay will reprise the role played by Mammooty in the original. The script for the Hindi remake has been tweaked some by adding a female lead opposite Akshay Kumar. She will not play the love interest of Akshay but will be an A-lister to add to the commercial angle of the film
